  4. Yes, exactly what I said. Slowly and surely, one synapse at a time until you get a volume neurotransmitter to mediate short term potentiation (the short term potentiation observed in fMRI BOLD).

    Then … bam … bam, bam … bam, bam, bam, bam … bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam …

    Then the same volume neurotransmitter mediates long term potentiation.

    … BAM!! … BAM!! … … … BAM! …
